Even when using a Thai banks internet bank,your phone number, email-address and passport number has to be updated if being changed.

You don't use bank apps? Then you're probably one out of very very few. I can use internet banking as well,but it's easier using a bank app.

Yes, but you could have done it yourself in Settings - Device management. The app will detect your new phone and you just delete the old one.

You can delete a device in the app and just use the new detected device = your new phone. It's in Settings, under "Device management". Get it? How do you think I'm doing it when I'm buying a new phone? Do you think I'm visiting my branch?

Really? Then you haven't read about complaints about Korat immigration. Yesterday was the last time from a guy who had to wait 4-5 hours until it was his turn.

Is there an equivalent visa to the old Non-O multi-entry visa for expats in Thailand?

You need to find a place to stay, get a residence certificate from immigration, a hotel address is officially not accepted, open a bank account and transfer those 800k within 30 days.Those 800k has to be in your account 2 months prior to the day you apply for the 1 year extension.
