You're forgetting you're paying for the Elite visa, but not for the DTV. Even if the DTV is cancelled, it won't happen before at least 5 years after it was introduced.
I guess I know a lot more than you why their accounts are frozen. You like many others are just coming up with nonsense comments without having a clue. How does that help anyone? Please tell.
There are several posts about exactly same topic, and some have more than 100 comments but no one has the answer. And more than 50% of those comments comes from clueless people with no idea what this is about. Some are sitting in a sofa back home and not in Thailand. Get it?
Apples and oranges! There's more than one reason for an account to be frozen. The OP's problem is the first reason a couple of months ago, his sim-card is not registered in his name. It's easy to fix via the sim-card provider. Just go there and they will update the name and give him a receipt to show his branch. If he's not in Thailand, his mobile banking will be locked until he's back.
Your not very smart are you? Why would anyone on a O-A which is based on retirement leave every 89 days to avoid doing 90 days reports? Please tell. Don't give stupid advice to people.
