TM47 is the form for the 90 days report, you'll need that of course and without the passport you can't do anything at immigration. But then there will (normally) be a couple of copies from the passport, like the first page and the last extension. Plus the TM30.
Some offices uses 3 months after the application and some 90 days after. It's not the same thing. At Jomtien immigration it's 90 days. We had earlier something called a "90 days money check". It's gone since a few years. 😎
The only important thing you need to do at immigration is submitting a TM30 using the address where you're staying now. Other than that, it's imo a walk in the park.
