It was my plan originally, but at the beginning of this month they started asking for the 400k, which I could not have at short notice. I believe I read on this page that they do not accept the proof of 40k+ monthly income. Now my plan is to extend this visa as Tod suggests.

My wife's house registration is her family's address where she is originally from, but that is not the address we live at now. Will a discrepancy between my address and the address on her documents cause any problems?

I arrived on the 19th, the app kept crashing on my phone when I tried to install it at the airport, so they just gave me a piece of paper to fill out and sent me through immigration anyway. I was never given any instructions or alternative means to report symptoms to them. I think they've just rushed it out and probably aren't really checking so not worth panicking over, but probably wise to follow the advice above.

I asked a similar question last week, also for SETV from London Embassy, consensus of answers was that they expect tourists to travel around so just the hotel booking for when you arrive should be sufficient. My appointment is on Monday, but this is quite a useful link where the writer says they only showed accomodation for the first week and that was fine - To be honest I'm still going to take some additional documents as can't see any harm in it. If they don't need to see them then only some printer ink is lost.

Hi all, thanks very much for your help so far. I'm the boyfriend in this case. While from the great help this group and yourselves have provided I understand about applying for the marriage-based non-O from a neighbouring country, to apply for the tourist visa from the UK in the first place I need to provide proof of accomodation, eg a hotel booking or letter of invitation. We were going to go the invitation letter route, but from what your comments

perhaps I'd be better off just booking a hotel that I can cancel later, just to show with my visa application? If that's advisable, would you say just book a single hotel for the 60 days duration of the SETV? If it's any help as I've seen people ask on here, it's a UK passport, applying from Thai Embassy in London, no visits to Thailand in 2019 and only 3 visa exempt entries in my passport from 2015 and 2018.
