Hello,
I have a Single Entry Non-O based on marriage from Savannakhet, expiring 19 Feb.
I have proof of funds in my own bank account, but only since 02 Feb.
As I understand it, I can extend my current visa for 60 days without proof of funds.
My questions:
- If I get the 60 day extension and wait until the funds are 2 months old, can I then apply directly for the one year extension based on marriage?
- If so, how early can I make the switch? (kitting out a new house so need to be able to use that money again ASAP)
My local immigration office is Chaengwattana, if that makes any difference.
Thank you.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about extending their Single Entry Non-O visa (based on marriage) by 60 days and subsequently applying for a one-year extension. They want to know if they can apply for the one-year extension after their bank funds have been maintained for two months and how early they can switch to the one-year application. Responses confirm that they can apply for the one-year extension as soon as their funds are seasoned (after April 3rd).
