It isn't about money in the bank for the US. You need to show why they will leave again.
She is a nurse at the hospital, great. Did she get fired last week and is planning to convert her tourist visa and stay in the US? Show a letter from her boss on hospital stationary saying when she has to be back, etc.
Letters from family or someone that you contract to take care of you home while you are gone with a firm end date.
Everything you provide should show why she is going to leave again. If there is any suspicion that you are going to convert the visa they will deny.
You have to show thecmoney stayed in the account and never fell below the required amount . Then you can convert. So you have to pay the agent again at least for that.
I don't think so. You can always apply. It might make them look closer and verify everything just to make sure you aren't using the marriage to get in.
If you get an actual visa you should be fine. But until you are standing in front of the IO it is all a guess. They can deny you for any reason. Having an actual approved visa and the other things you listed should remove the easy reasons for refusal.
