Getting a Thai girlfriend a visa is difficult. They want her to have a good job, a letter from her employer, a bank account . Someone who will actually fly back to Thailand. Do it right the first time and she’s good for continued trips. Screw up and never again. Another option is you have to apply for her 90 day marriage visa. You apply from the USA she will get an interview in Bangkok…….

I use Remity dot com. Takes maybe 12 seconds. 1. Cash is king. 2. Have a credit card with no transaction fees, like Barclay card.

Arrive at immigration before they open. It’s a giant DMV from He$$. Get in line after filling out the paper. They check your answers. They give you a plastic number, you wait just outside for your number to be called and announced on a board. Usually 5 at a time. You file into a room take a window, hand your approved paperwork and have the 1900 baht in hand. They might ask simple questions. But they collect the money, you move out to the waiting area, eventually after 15 minutes the girl with the microphone comes out and at another table bringing your approved and newly stamped passport and you leave. If you’re late to immigration expect at noon the entire area is stopped for lunch, you escalator down stairs to the mall and eat lunch. Expect total time at 3 to 4 hours.

During Covid we were 5 days late. Locked in a mandatory hospital. We paid $6000 baht and left for Tokyo.
