SCB are very good. Not had much luck with BKK bank and have had a joint account with them for ten years. Still can’t get phone banking with BKK as they have to send a letter which never arrives. SCB did it for me in branch in two mins.

Very easy to find out. Check the local Thai Embassy website. It has all the info you need. Also a quick web search will also tell you.

Very true. Maybe ask “have I done something wrong” to put the onus on you. I went for a driving licence renewal and the lady doing the paper work wasn’t having a good day. When I handed her my paperwork I said I was scared. She changed her tune straight away and asked why. I said I hoped I had all the paperwork and hadn’t made a mistake. She smiled and said don’t worry I can help you. I needed one extra photocopy and rather than being sent to go and do it she got up and did it herself. My done was linked to my old passport and she asked if I had that passport. I apologised and said sorry I don’t. She said don’t worry we will link you drivers licence to you pink ID and smiled and I was on my way. She changed her tune at the next person. 😂
