Alan Lockhart 20 years ago I opened an account at the main office of BKK bank in Silom rd. I live in Pinklao. Never had to visit the main office. If I need a new passbook, I visit one of the branches across my condo and get it on spot. Once I messed up with my password and they gave me a new card. I do everything online with the application.

To get a retirement visa in Thailand (Non-Immigrant O or O-A), you must be at least 50 years old, have 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account for 2-3 months, or a monthly income of 65,000 THB. Applications require a 12-month valid passport, proof of funds, health insurance, and a criminal background check.
