nothing to do with luck, perhaps shady transactions.. I opened 5 different account in all major banks while holding non-b like 8 years ago and updated all of those regularly when switching between stamps, non-ed and now dtv. Statistically speaking at least 1 of them should be closed by now so I call BS

only partially true.. all accounts opened 5+ years ago are unaffected even when changing visa types. I have multiple and banks dont care. I talked to the clerks most say they're cracking down only on recently opened and dtv is fine as long as thr account had been maintained for a while and got good history with the bank
