managed to get all mine done in 1 day in Bangkok, embassy then translation local to embassy, after that you need to go to foreign affairs to get translation stamped officially, I was going to make appointment at Bangkok again but a friend said their was foreign affairs dept near me, so look around (google) it saved me another 8hr drive 🤣

You need to go to Australian embassy to get your passport(and Divorce if any) confirmed by embassy and stamped, then you need to get these translated into Thai, all information should be on Aus embassy website, takes a bit of time but we'll worth it, I've just been through it all 👍

looking to get married but was under impression I had to have long term visa first as well as required money seasoned in bank, but if I had come on visa exempt I had to go back to UK to change.

I thought if you came in visa exempt you couldn't change to visa in country, I'm in same situation, and saw somewhere else that is the case, I don't want retirement I just want non O, so I can eventually get married.
