That’s why I wrote “retirement

visa”….for the purists among us.

Most mere mortals understand completely.

I had my “retirement visa” plus multi entry etc in my old UK passport.

The first time I left Thailand on my new passport (which I’d got in Thailand) I took both passports, the old one with the corner cut off (red) and my new one (blue).

The immigration officer took both passports and transferred all the details of the visa from the old to the new (no charge). I didn’t ask, she did it automatically.

From then on I only needed to show my new passport when arriving or departing.
