That would be pointless since the British embassy don’t handle visa processing. All done through VFS Global.

What should my friend do about his Thai visa overstay and getting a new passport?

How will he be able to get any stamps/visas in neighbouring countries if he has no passport pages available? He needs to go back to his home country and get a new passport. Honestly it’s beyond belief that he’s just waited it out on overstay! Shows a complete lack of respect for the rules and regulations here.

she hasn’t taken the necessary steps. She didn’t cancel her work permit and extension of stay. I’m not sure what you mean by “perhaps her former employer hasn’t finalised the cancellation” - it’s down to the individual to do the necessary cancellations, not the employer.
