Most easy would be to put everything in an account at a bank that is clearly a bank.

I know Revolut is a bank in a number of countries, but it is not recognized as such everywhere.

Having everything in the same account is also more practical for the coming 5 years in case you might have to prove you still comply to the visa requirements.

I think it is perfectly normal that they want to know about your plans.

The embassies have the difficult tasks to see which applicants genuine apply for the soft power activity and which are just plan to abuse the visa.

A bit strange that you think that people who take their job seriously are not OK.

Liquidate in a day and transfer to an account you can pay from in just one day can be difficult sometimes.

Different banks in different countries have different methode of using accounts. That makes it hard for embassies to make decisions.I think embassies like to see an account that is used regularly. Some banks use a different account numbers for savings, some use same account number but only put savings in a virtuele box. Normally a savings account can only be used to transfer money to your account and you cannot pay with it.

The only purpose of the 500K as a requirement is to ensure that during your stay in Thailand you have enough money in case of calamities. It is meant to stay directly accesible during your whole period of stay. I see a lot of people here only consider it as something that has to be there at moment of application, but that does not make sense.

It might feel stupid, but by not having 500K in a bank account anymore, you now don't technically comply with the visa requirements anymore.

stocks and crypto is no cash money, so that that cannot be used is completely logical, but a savings account should not be a problem as long as it is directly accesible and not a deposit contract for a fixed time.

it is not only for months, but for 5 years, or as long as you want to use the visa, but I see nowhere it needs to be an account you use daily, as long as you can access it immediately. Problem at the moment is too much people now only set up accounts just to get DTV visa, and of course that is not how authorities have meant this to be.

I think chances are less 1 percent you will be asked, but as with all visa worldwide, it is a good idea to have all the documents with you. Just put them somewhere in the cloud and maybe also local on your phone, so you can access them when asked for it.

220 baht might be a bit high, but it is just about 1 percent.

Is that really worth to open an account for? Part of that money you will loose by transferring anyway.
