I've just checked, the difference right at this moment is -0.08 baht so if u exchange 10k usd u lost 800 baht by taking a trip to your favorite physical exchange spot, congrats lol. Online, by definition, is the best option. But 99% including you just don't understand that.

Benjamin Charles lol I've just checked it was 1.24 euro for me to send 50,000 THB to Krung thai and nothing else has ever been deducted by Krung thai bank. That's why I'm still convinced that people discussing their need, desire or hobby to maintain thai bank accounts are very particular individuals, it's 2026!

why so many people here are so obsessed with having a thai bank account, why not just use revolut or any similar service with literally no fees, or tagthai or another app like that for someone who has a strong desire to scan qr codes, I just don't get why would I ever need a thai bank account
