Applied last Aug so probably doesn’t apply but got it same day in Taiwan. Did it ourselves.

I've recently notorized documents as a Canadian in Tokyo (not for the DTV) - you shouldn't need to go to the embassy, you should be able to just go to a regular notary in Tokyo unless the Thai embassy needs you to do it in Canada for some reason? I would confirm with them.

I also have the DTV. Is there a specific office you have to report to in Bangkok for the 90 day report?

Yes, it’s a company registered in Canada. I’m the one that showed my portfolio as I applied as a freelancer.

not sure if it's required but we did see other embassies ask for 3-6 months, so we didn't want to take any chances

correct we were tourists, I emailed their office ahead of time to make sure we were able to apply there. I emailed a few embassies and most accepted tourists but Singapore told me only residents were able to apply there.
