opening a bank account is only difficult if you don’t have the appropriate Visa. A tourist Visa even a DTV is not considered appropriate

You’ll need to check specifics with your embassy. Some require three or six months worth of statements but it’s the final balance of 500 KTHB that is important while others require seasoning
