Lots of people have posted about approvals coming through late at night and Sundays etc so it just seems to happen when it happens

Some people have contacted the embassy about upcoming flights and the approvals have been almost immediate so that may be worth a try

You are mixing up different aspects. Get the visa from home country (non O) arrive in Thailand, open bank account, deposit funds at least 2

Months before visa expiry,apply for 1 year extension based on marriage. Job done Obviously check all other extensions requirements with your local immigration office
