Why would you want to use a US Bank if you are leaving the USA? I use Bangkok Bank for all my banking needs. My Social Security is directly deposited to Bangkok Bank. You can save a lot of money by not keeping a US address. Medicare will not pay to Thailand and you can buy good insurance in Thailand. You do have to pay Medicare if you have a US address. You do not have to pay Medicare if you use Thailand as your address. Medical is much less costly here and better than in the USA.

I was never asked by immigration where the money came from That account has much more than 800K. I also have 2 more accounts. Evidently, if we have enough Baht they do not question.

Go to the US embassy and get the information.

Go to immigration and ask for an extension. You could go to the airport and check out then stay there until your plane leaves.

Agents are not needed for any Visa.

I would never buy a Condominium because you own nothing beyond the paint. Here in Thailand I own the house and have all rights to the land. Yes, my name is on the land deed. Yes, it is legal. I do not own the land and I can sell the land and keep the money.

The 800,000 and a retirement income is okay. I have been here 30 years with less than 65,000 per Mo. My retirement is directly deposited into Bangkok Bank.
