unsure of what your embassy does but Australian embassy put a stamp in the new passport stating all visas fro the old passport are valid in the new passport with new number.

Then you take both to Thai immigration. I don’t know if they actually transfer visa/extension of stay stamps to the new passport. Pretty sure just a new stamp and your 90day report then can be done same visit if you want.

Get the notification or old visas stamped in new passport take both with you.

Always take more than you think you need.
