Sorry this is basically a yes no answer question.

Just got new passport and also due to do first 90 day reporting at immigration.

Should I do 90 day reporting before or after I get them to transfer my visa stamps into new passport?

In an ideal world like to do it all in 1 visit (Jomtien). Then forget old passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When handling your 90-day reporting and transferring visa stamps to a new passport in Thailand, it's generally advisable to transfer the visa stamps into the new passport first and then complete the 90-day reporting. However, some users have noted that both tasks can be done in a single visit, with the important detail being to ensure the new passport number is in the system for the reporting. Always bring both passports and any necessary documents, such as a letter from your embassy regarding your visa.

Just got my embassy visa letter on collection of passport. It asks to fill in when my last entry visa was to move it. Not my latest visas that are to me the relevant ones. Does it matter when I arrived in thailand? I may leave it blank and ask them what they want to put in that box.

You should have a letter with your new passport, bring that along with both passports to immigration, they will give you a receipt and you go back the next day to collect. I did mine about two months ago at Jomtien.

Get the notification or old visas stamped in new passport take both with you.

Always take more than you think you need.

unsure of what your embassy does but Australian embassy put a stamp in the new passport stating all visas fro the old passport are valid in the new passport with new number.

Then you take both to Thai immigration. I don’t know if they actually transfer visa/extension of stay stamps to the new passport. Pretty sure just a new stamp and your 90day report then can be done same visit if you want.

I didn't mean to suggest it can't be done on the same visit to immigrations. I just meant to do it in the order I stated, get the stamps moved THEN do the 90 day report. :P :)

You can do it at the same time, I did last time I got a new passport.

Get the stamps changed to the new passport THEN do the 90 day report so that the new number is in the system for 90 day reporting.
