If you do a border bounce with a non-B (land or air) you'll get 90 days. I don't know if you can extend a non-B at imm. with 30 days.

If you have some time and money to spend go to Perth. Excellent Visa service and no waiting in th Consulate (I was the only one there lol) when you send your application at least a week ahead by email. It's only 7 hrs flight and actually a pretty cool place to visit and spend some time ( I could easily fill a week there) 😎😎😎

Exactly. You can extend as soon as the employment is ongoing, wp in hand and at least one salary has been paid out.... but do correct me if I'm wrong.
