Is an English affidavit of income acceptable for a retirement visa extension in Thailand, or does it need to be translated into Thai?

Just received back (confirmed & stamped) from the embassy the affidavit of income. (for my father)

This doc is in English. Is this ok for imm. To get the extension (retirementl) or does it need to be translated into Thai? Tia...

And the officer.always uses the selling rate in his calculations.which being British is a great help.

you are lucky, the officers in Bangkok seem to make up an exchange rate. When I just did mine the exchange rate was 32 to 1 and she used 30 to 1 :O

My affidavits of income the last 6 years has always been in English.and accepted by chaing mai immigration know proplem.

english affidavits of income from consulates are accepted just fine.

Aha could be yes... we did it by mail so honestly i have no clue who processed it 😉

, yeah, you might have went to the embassy grounds but you dealt with consular services to get that notary stamp.

, The reason I asked was that some immigration offices were wanting the affidavit of income from consulates stamped (NOT translated) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs offices.

Chiang Mai is not one of those offices so you're fine.
