Anonymous participant 142 the OP said he/she doesnt have ANY active usable account in any country in the world not just passport. I have no idea why so many of your kind have reading comprehension or logic problem.. do you live your entire life scavenging for food and lodging, mouth to mouth? It is unusual but maybe not to you..so, how many percentages of people are like you that allow me to use the term "unusual" ? Care to enlighten me?
i am more surprised you don't have a single existing and active bank account in your home country. they may close it after very long years of inactivity but how do you manage all these years ? it make no sense.. very suspicious
DTV is meant to be an extended or enhanced tourist visa. Nothing more. Most countries would not allow tourists to open a local bank account..if your country cannot why do you expect Thailand to allow it?
if you have a proper company with multiple properties to rent then a case can be made but one or two as private owners are nonsense.. this sound like a loophole..if i am the authority i will reject you all.. these are not remote work and you are not remote working..lets get real..
there are places where it is faster and easier to use cashless method. there are food courts in Thailand where they will just accept direct QR payment without the need to buy cash card at the counter, which require queueing. the goal is look for ways to enable foreigners to use the same cashless method as local Thais. so using cash is a moot point.
if you have an existing TrueMoney account, then you are good to go. .but they don;t easily register new account NOW and there are many background checks before approval. so, the nature of the problem remains.. and TrueMoney overseas like TrueMoney Malaysia (my country) is not compatible with TrueMoney Thailand..
as far as custom officers are concerned their power are the as above..you can.keep arguing and i hope you argue with the custom officer next time you faced such issue and see how far you get
