If it is not safe for you to go to the interview you would not be issued a DTV, possibly a 6-month tourist visa. You should also consider applying elsewhere due to your safety concerns attending an in-person interview

Anonymous participant You have a DTV so cannot get a work permit. You are likely not liable to be paying tax in Thailand with the DTV. Other DTVERS have also been told they can not get a tax ID from the tax office.
