Hello everyone. I'm living in Thailand with DTV visa currently (I don't have work permit or company). I would like to apply for payout account for Meta Facebook and needing Taxpayer Identification Number(TIN). Where can I apply TIN? If you have any experiences as foreigner content creator in Thailand, kindly please guide me. Thank you in advance.
PLUS : my country,Burma doesn't even have valid tax office and policy for content creator. It's a very messy law and politics sadly.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user living in Thailand on a DTV visa is seeking advice on how to obtain a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to apply for a payout account on Meta Facebook. They face challenges because their home country, Burma, lacks a valid tax office or policy for content creators. Various comments suggest that obtaining a TIN in Thailand typically requires a work permit or taxable income, which the user does not have. Alternatives mentioned include considering a company registration or changing to a Non-B visa for work permit eligibility.
To get a TIN, you need work permit, to get work permit you need job. Or use your home country tax number, which you can’t. You’re out of luck my friend
you apply to your local Revenue Office to obtain a TIN. Why you do it is because you have received assessable income or you want to reclaim withholding tax.
Oh really? That’s interesting. I thought the Revenue Department only requires TINs if there’s assessable income or a tax obligation. Curious what kind of obligation applies in your case?
Anonymous participant you can't get a work permit on the dtv. Do you not have a tax id from your home country? In your case you should only be getting a tax id for remitted income
Anonymous participant You have a DTV so cannot get a work permit. You are likely not liable to be paying tax in Thailand with the DTV. Other DTVERS have also been told they can not get a tax ID from the tax office.
