Never got an e-visa in Thailand but I presume they do it like Vietnam. A confirmation is sent to your E-mail and you show that with your passport at the Immigration Desk and they stamp you in.

You mean your e-visa hasn't come?

How long ago did you apply? Did you get the confirmation of application and your receipt of payment?

Btw, yes you can get 30 days with just your passport. Then do a 30 day extension.

Pre-Covid, I transferred to a connecting flight on a different airline without leaving the Airport. I didn't need to collect my bags as it was the same booking.

I was worried about this the whole trip. But, yes, my bags were transferred to the new airline and they made it to the destination.

I am totally baffled about Traveling during the Pandemic so I am not giving advice. But I don't see why it shouldn't be the same.

You are connecting to a flight to Canada. You are not staying in Thailand, right?

Then as long as it is the same booking, it -should- be fine.

If you booked yourself seperately on two airlines, I don't think they would know where to transfer the luggage too.

Yes, starting 2.5 years ago, the Thai Government started throwing up obstacle, after obstacle, for visitors from Western countries.

Hmmm... Interesting. I lived in Michigan in 2018 and applied for my first Tourist Visa from the Thai Embassy (Consular Office) in Washington DC.

This is a awkward time to travel. It could be a lot worse!

Curious, did you think everything is back to normal?

I have heard that from others as well.

They want to make sure any money in it is yours. But I think he was just referring to help opening the account. Not opening a joint account.

If you bring 800k Baht to a Thai Bank, you are likely to get an account.
