the problem here is when people call it there "home country" which implies there nationality IE British passport but many haven't lived or worked in there "home country" for many many years 8-10+ years maybe even decades...

So obviously you'd apply from a neighbouring or closer country than travelling all the way back to Europe etc ...

unfortunately (T.i.T) This Is Thailand and each of the embassy / consulates makes there own rules or adaptations of the official Thai Government guide lines...

That's why people pick and choose which country to submit there application etc...

It's very annoying that's theres No Uniform policy they all stick too...

passport & driving licence the UK doesn't issue id cards...

I've uploaded my UK driver's Licence twice now hopefully will work this time 🤞🏽...

Not sure it's classed the same as Full banking app but don't mind topping up @7-11 etc or doing a Bank Transfer just to be able to use the Scan pay feature etc

Anonymous seems like you already know about the DTA so possibly speak to an accountant they'll give you the correct information...

Try opening a Bank account first chief that's can be quiet good fun to say the least...
