so far I don’t need … logistically if I have to get a visa for each entry it will signal the end of Thailand as a destination …. It’s just not practical
sadly it’s not as simple as that … work offshore so not retired, don’t qualify dtv even though many thousands of klm to closest
****
…. Kids Thai but over 20 yr old so not a factor for visa … tourist visa impractical as Thai consul even further away than
****
and I wouldn’t pay for 17 tourist visa a year …. I have been questioned 2 x by immigration and said same to them as there is no single visa that is applicable without lying (retirement) or business when I no intention of owning a business etc immigration colonel agreed what I said and thus far (5 years) I’ve never been hassled since. Silly really as the numbers in similar jobs etc is in the thousands every week , a new fb group just for fly in fly out workers living in Thai is already up about 400 members and that only seems to concentrate on mining out of Perth Australia
Congratulations… interesting info, I did the same last week on normal visa exemption… bkk bank Pattaya, never even asked me to buy useless insurance … I think it mainly comes down to the branch and what stage of menopause the staff are feeling on the day lol ..anyhow great you got it without the hassle some experience
no idea why? I’m just on exempt as I work offshore and I’ve got 2 fibre internet accounts (ais and 3bb) at different properties and my phone is post paid with ais but over the years I’ve had all the big 3 … no one has ever asked for more than a copy of photo page passport
