Will having a DTV Visa in Thailand cause issues if I don't have a return ticket?

Immigration doesn't need a departing ticket. The airline might ask, but you show them proof of your 5 year visa and you'll be fine. It's a new visa, so you might need a supervisor and/or be prepared to explain it.
