I did mine in Bangkok late on Monday and it was approved yesterday. I normally get email confirmation but didn't this time, worth checking online the next day to confirm approval.

This is incorrect. The re entry office in DMK is after passport control. A single re-entry costs 1200 baht which includes a 200b admin fee.
