James has made it very clear. Have the money in your bank for 2 months before you apply for your extension, and then keep it there UNTIL the end of the 30 day consideration period. So keep it in your bank for 90 days total to make SURE you get the final extension stamp for the remaining 11 months.

Great comments. As what happened prior to the amnesty, there is a swarm of gossip going on regarding July 31st. It helps no one, people just need to wait until official announcements.

That is because the 'Amnesty' is just a pardon for overstay and not an extension of any visas. Have to wait and see what the 31st July announcement is.
