TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a Multiple Entry Non-O Visa based on marriage in Thailand, you must maintain 400,000 THB in your bank account for 2 months prior to the application. While it is a common requirement, it's important to keep the money in your personal Thai bank account until your extension is approved. Immigration may check your bank account during the 'under consideration' period, which varies by office. Some may require updated bank statements upon your return for the stamp, while others may not mention it if they do not require further proof.

Okay there is some difference on how the various immigration offices handle the "under consideration" period for marriage extensions. Some just have you come back on the 30th day and get the 11 months extension inked into your passport BUT others will tell you to update your bank book, make a copy and bring it back too to show the money is still in the account.

The way you know IS, if when you apply for the yearly extension they don't say anything about it, then you just show up when the under consideration stamp runs out, believe me IF they want you to bring your updated bank book in when you go back they will tell you.

Its best to leave it in your name only Thai bank account at least until Thai Immigration approves your extension...Under Consideration stamps are usually for 30 days... But Thai immigration will tell you when to return for the stamp.

And do not spend any of the money during the 30+ days UNDER CONSIDERATION period completed and Stamped in your passport.

Got mine last month. They told me to bring my passbook updated on the date of collection showing the money still there! So. Money needs to be there 2 months before, then keep it there until you pick up your approved extension.

it's 400,000 Thai baht to begin with...DO NOT TOUCH IT until UNDER CONSIDERATION stamp is closed out.

James has made it very clear. Have the money in your bank for 2 months before you apply for your extension, and then keep it there UNTIL the end of the 30 day consideration period. So keep it in your bank for 90 days total to make SURE you get the final extension stamp for the remaining 11 months.
