If you enter visa exempt your permission to stay dies when you leave. If you don't have a history of spending time in Thailand you could get another visa exempt entry when you return. But if you have spent much time in Thailand either this year or last then you may have trouble and would be better getting a visa, take a look at the METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa)

Tom Singh you need to have money in a Thai bank in order to apply for a marriage visa inside Thailand. With out the money your application will be rejected, unless you are a female married to a Thai male in which case you don't need to show any money

the visa you apply for depends on the purpose of your stay in Thailand. A marriage visa is fine if you will live and work inside Thailand, although you still need a work permit. If you will work remotely from Thailand then you need a DTV based on workation

You can't transfer a DTV. Just carry both passports for the duration

I'm not really surprised this was rejected. It looks designed to meet the absolute minimum requirements which isn't really in the spirit of the DTV. Which then raises the question of what you intend to do in Thailand and how you will support yourself for the duration of the visa. If you will work remotely then you should apply using the workation option or be prepared to show how you can support yourself otherwise

you should also have a Thai birth certificate registered at the amphur serving the area you were born in. Try contacting them as a first step, give them your mother's ID and details

It won't do any harm along with a letter inviting you and your marriage certificate

Lauren Zar so denied entry rather than blacklisted? That's a very different thing. If he gets a proper visa that fits the purpose of his stay he should be able to enter OK. If he's over 50 I'd suggest a Non-O based on his age which he can extend annually inside Thailand
