We were originally planning to do 60 and leave without an extension for a couple of weeks, then come back for another 60 and THEN extend for 30 or maybe just the 7. That’ll give you up to 150 if it works. Bit of a risk though and we decided against it in the end with the uncertainty around the waiver reverting to 30 days and have cut our trip back.

Robert Harley AKA Harley Fire it’s not 30 days. The visa free waiver is still 60 days.

Ant W Tailor great response. Can you advise….for a married couple both also in their 60s, can we open a joint bank account and if so, is it 800k each in a joint bank account or a lesser amount because we are doing this together?

Lynnette Munoz 30 days great unless you planned on staying to the length of the 60 day waiver and have already booked accommodation and flights to leave Thailand on day 59 not day 29!
