Is the rush to marry before your visa expires a belief that as soon as you are married Thai visas become easier? I am afraid it doesn’t work like that here.

As long as you have a 2 month tourist visa and only staying for 6 weeks you won’t need a TM30 as you won’t need to extend. The hotels will report automatically but they never check at the

Airports.

with that info I am sure one of the visa experts can help you. If it’s just a few months until you are 50 maybe tr and fly out and back a few times would work?

Why are you coming for 6 months? Tourist, family reasons, work etc? Once you state reasons people can advise you. Is it only for 6 months or are you looking to stay longer?

It’s not going to happen. Loss of revenue and reduced work at immigration offices means fewer jobs adding to unemployment. Far more likely is a charge for all visas generating millions of baht. Just think 1900 baht from all those visa exempt people. Why should some nations be more privileged than others? You can see the eyes rolling with baht signs !!!!

They say the 90 day reporting is to keep track of foreigners when they commit crimes. However most criminals don’t have a visa in the first place so they arent in the system anyway.

As long as no back to back visits usually ok. I used to do 6 weeks in uk then 4 in Thailand. 5 or 6 visa exempt never had an issue. Just show them some cash or a bank statement and a return ticket if you are asked.
