Are there any advantages or disadvantages for e-visa system compared to applying in person??

Only one advantage is obvious for me - save time on walking and queuing at the consulate. So you can go travel within the country or chill at the hotel.

Are differences in processing time or provided paper work reviewing process?

Usually when your paperwork is incorrect they don’t even accept it - so you don’t pay/lose your visa fee. At least it used to be that way in Laos..

only one visa kind of visa that is appropriate for me is a retirement visa. As I do not work, study or have a thai family. But I’m under 50yo so it’s unavailable to me.

Elite is out question. I’m ok to be a regular person. Don’t feel like VIP or have an “elite” treatment for that kind of money 😂

So what visa do you suggest?)
