Not sure about land borders either, had nothing but hassle everytime and had all necessary documents and requirements to enter. Grilled every time. On the other hand, never had a problem when flying in. I guess its totally down to the IO as always if you have all the correct requirements.

yeah it's strange because I showed the IO check list on the embassy website and he basically said, too bad, you need to use this checklist. Even though I only got handed it at the embassy...

I just went onto the website and it has actually been updated with more documents that it had 2 weeks ago.

Found the same issue for SETV in Penang. Went onto the official Thai embassy website to check exactly what I needed. Arrive at the consulate in Penang and they hand out an entirely different checklist.
