it's good advice though. I know many an expat that chooses to go down the retirement route rather than marriage, despite the additional cost, because it's much easier and more secure (as in if the marriage goes pear shaped, they won't also be having problems with their visa renewal)

it would probably be easier to activate your visa, with a border bounce to Laos.

Depending on your plans, You might want to extend your existing stamp 30 days before bouncing. And once the visa is activated, it too can still be extended once +30 days

yes, in that case we did. My partner first registered for a user name and then submitted my report once on the system. That was almost 2 years ago, at the time there was a glitch uploading files over 5mgb. It was solved sending the files as a pdf. Multiple images, one file

I haven't said 'not to get insurance', have I. Stop with your BS. I've recommended a more appropriate and cost effective route to his visa. What insurance cover he wants is his choice.
