To avoid people pulling out of side roads with no regard. An expansion of people arriving at a crossroad at the same time, and they give way to the left. I put my partner through one and after she had the driving licence asked her to move the car to a new spot in the huge empty car park. 2 hours later, we were still starting and stopping in a straight line and learning to turn...

The non-oa retirement visa you can apply for outside of Thailand has a requirement for insurance.

The non-o retirement applied for inside Thailand doesn't require insurance, but requires you to bank 800k in a Thai bank

If you are in Ranong, the easiest border for you to bounce is with Myanmar, easily done by boat and yes it is open.

they are talking Thai ฿. This is Thailand not the USA, hence prices are given in the local currency and ฿50k is realistic for a year language course here
