@Jo**
, if they fill out the POA & you have a copy of their ID....they do not need to go to the transfer office.

Have the seller fill out a power of attorney along with a signed copy of their ID/passport.

*Make sure all paperwork is done in BLUE ink.

@Gar****
, you got lucky this time. Residing in a foreign country is a privilege, not a right & they do have the right to refuse you entry or a stay permit based on their discretion (that's the ugly fine print).

Knowing the rules/regs and how they are implemented are two very different things here.

I'm on an extension of stay (NON-O) based on marriage, so I don't have to park as much money vs. retirement, but I think it's 3 months for a 'marriage visa'....not sure about guardian?
Chris **********
You're right, it's two months. 👍🏻

You're aware the money would need to sit in the account for 3 months prior to the NON-O application right?

Transferwise is probably the easiest way to move money.

I asked the lady there the same question....she said, "No problem since you're renewing within one year of expiration". If I had to guess, the police will give you a fine anyways.
