TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can renew your Thai driver's license at any Department of Land Transport (DLT) office across the country, regardless of where it was originally issued. Some users have shared their experiences renewing licenses in different provinces, like Phuket and Nongkhai. However, it's important to note that appointment wait times can vary. Concerns were raised about potential fines if stopped by police while awaiting renewal, but it seems that renewing within a year of expiration should generally prevent this issue.

I have to renew, if they give appointment after 4 months and police stop me during that time, they give fine anyway?

I asked the lady there the same question....she said, "No problem since you're renewing within one year of expiration". If I had to guess, the police will give you a fine anyways.
