Hello, I am a foreigner and I have my Thai drivers license and I also have my residency certificate to purchase a motorbike. I want to buy a used motorbike. What documents to I need to make sure the seller gives me, so that I can transfer to my name at the DLT. I want to make sure I get all proper papers.

3 documents: Greenbook signed, a copy of their ID card signed and with phone number written, and the transfer of ownership paper (this is a standard paper from the DLT, you can print it online.)

Have the seller fill out a power of attorney along with a signed copy of their ID/passport.

*Make sure all paperwork is done in BLUE ink.

Don’t buy it unless it has a green book, and you’ll need to both go to a authorized title transfer place

, if they fill out the POA & you have a copy of their ID....they do not need to go to the transfer office.

They need to give you the transfer papers, registration book, signed copy of ID card and power of attorney if the seller is Thai for a foreigner would need a signed copy of passport and residency certificate either from immigration or their embassy
