I see. However, there is the additional option of the new "E-Extension" service, right? It's more or less the same thing as making an appointment, except you submit all docs / pay 1,900 baht fee + 500 baht processing fee, but then you still have to go to the office (2nd floor?) to pick it up, right?

, thanks man! I ended up doing the BTS all the way to Wat Pra Sri Mahatat again (it’s free after / before Mo Chit) but then did GrabBike both ways to MTT. Was 10x faster as they can weave through traffic. Bit cheaper too πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

I thought covid visa extensions were being dealt with at MTT? Is it back to ChaengWattana now?

Maybe lucky, they refused to confirm whether it would be a 30 November or 30 December stamp πŸ˜… We’ll see.

No news about this in Samut Prakan yet. Can't get them to answer the phone at the office to find out either.

The first stamp is an "Under Consideration" stamp. The immigration officer explained that my information must be sent to the "District 3" main office in Bangkok to be approved, and then it will be returned to Samut Prakan (The officer stressed that ALL covid embassy extensions WILL be approved, it just has to pass by the main district office in Bangkok first). My information will be returned back to the Samut Prakan office before 29 September, in which I will go back and get my 2nd stamp.
