yes, i have had the same problem, i got denied from a few companies because of diabetes and heart disease, but i take good meds for that, but they don't care, as you say what's the purpose then, if that other replier knows a company that covers preconditions would be nice to know who he is referring to, cheers
Thanks very much to you 3- just to clarify, i have a few more questions-i am pretty sure Korat Immigration staff member told me a few months ago i could only renew 1 more time, which i did, meeting the requirements. Thinking i misunderstood her or she made a mistake. The office that has the 90 day reporting people is always empty or only 1-2 people, it's the other offices that will be crazy, so i will do my last 90 day report today there and if not much of a queue will ask them questions, if not go back in a few days, although i know this admin is excellent and will answer my questions correctly. And others. So it seems like only 2 choices are do the border bounce before the 25th of April to give me 30 days, or get an agent to get another yr for me if possible. Also will post again now to see if any Canadians or others, know for sure if Canadian Consulate can transfer my stamp from my old passport to my new one, when i get it, one staff e-mailed me and they cannot, then different lady in a phone call there said you can, why not she said?? Thanks guys.
Hi again Terry, i re-read Brandon's reply again, sorry but i didn't express myself fully, i got the -O-A visa in Canada Sept 2020 before i flew here that month, but i only got 7 months insurance as Thai Embassy in Canada said i could, and get the rest of the year insurance in Thailand, because i had to pay for flights, Q hotel for 2 weeks in Bangkok, etc, so i had to renew my visa by May 2021, which i did i got a yr insurance, had to get proof of my 800,000 baht in the bank , stamped by Canadian Embassy in Bangkok, to bring me to April 17, 23, so in 2 months,, so basically it would seem like a got an extension already- yes or no, Brandon if you see, said if it is an extention then this will not work, any thoughts, thanks very much, appreciate it
thank you for that important info, as yes, i guess that meant i was on an extension- glad i added that and glad you mentioned "original visa' so that got me thinking- my wife is very sick, all i want is to get as many months as possible to stay here without having to show my proof of funds, which is not even close to the 800,000 baht- thanks
Hi, just re-read your message, i want to clarify more- i got my O-A original from Canada in Sept 21 but i only got 6-7 months insurance instead of the whole year, because had to pay covid hotel, etc- Thai Consulate in Canada said i could pay the rest later, well, in April '22 came as it was stamped good until May 1, so then went to Korat Immigration and had to get proof of 800,000 from bank, stamped by Canadian Consulate in Bangkok, and that gave me another year, so April 17 this yr-are you still saying i can just cross the border and come back and i get another yr , do they stamp it at the border so no need to go to Immigration until 90 day report?? seems strange a person does not need proof of funds every yr but if so very happy with that, thanks so much, appreciate it more than you know
