- What visa was your partner on while in Thailand? I am not sure how this is a different issue though. The original poster was asking if they can apply for a Spanish (Schengen Visa) while in Thailand on a DTV visa. You said yes, but I think it might be a no.

one of the requirements for applying for a Spanish visa in Bangkok is “7. Proof of residence in the consular district”. It doesn’t clarify what it means by “residence”. As many on here often say, a DTV is a glorified Thai tourist visa. Is that residence?

- for example, when I was in Thailand, visa exempt, I was not able to apply for an India tourist visa.

- are you sure? Some embassies will only issue visas to residents.

Anonymous participant did you check after you uploaded your passport bio page? The webpage will overwrite cells with what it believes it reads on your passport. It is notoriously riddled with errors. Need to review afterwards. Also, little things like middle names. Some applicants have middle names, but they are not included on their passport (only other govt documents), if you include it on your application, you will get a canceled message. Similarly, when it comes to place of passport issued. While your passport might list a province or an embassy, you need to state your nationality/country.

Of course you don’t get a refund

Anonymous participant what documents did they ask for?
John *******
Canceled usually means you entered data incorrectly or applied via the wrong embassy.

- you can probably get a tourist visa or apply for soft power DTV

I see that you asked the same question back in September. It is still the same. Part of the application requires you to have your employer state you have permission to work remotely from Thailand. It doesn’t sounds like you can get something like that.
