Hi, I have kept the same non o visa for years now and extend every year. I used to extend based on being the mother of a Thai child. When it was time to renew I renewed based on marriage with the same visa just a different reason for extension. Not sure if it’s different for retirement etc but that’s my experience, no need to leave Thailand or change visa.

Yep made the trip from samui last month. Since my return then needed more paperwork, I’d prefer not to make the trip to Bangkok again. Managed to do it by postal service. Thanks

So by leaving even with a re entry permit the visa is basically voided?

Hmmm I tried that but it highlighted that I hadn’t filled it in and wouldn’t let me move on to the next step. Maybe I’m wrong I’ll have another try. Thanks! Yes I got mine in a few hours just trying to do theirs! Thankyou
