I have seen deserving well qualified people rejected, and the rotten ones accepted. The USA tourism visa system is a mess. The K-1 visa is way too easy to qualify for, if you really want her here that is the only way without very good connections.

I will be using tourist and medical DTV visas, I can only read and interpret what the Thai government puts on their website. The only consistency seems to be inconsistency. I am hoping within the 5 year DTV period that good options become available.

Robert Ruesz I figured the average per person social security payment, obviously some spend less and some more. Thailand uses the 65,000 bht or about $25,000 USD per year, so I was being conservative perhaps?
