wrong, if on retirement visa you can’t work period.

Anonymous participant 311 what are you talking about. Both are VISAs one is a tourist visa the other isn’t, that’s not in dispute.

You can’t do any work at all if you are on a retirement visa. The clue is in the word retirement.

A DTV you are permitted to work within Thailand so long as you are not engaging with locals or Thai companies.

Feel free to show me where it says otherwise.

@Pedro ******
unfortunately not. That’s the key thing the DTV allows you to do.

The biggest difference is one will allow you to work remote for a company outside of Thailand. The other won’t permit you to work at all.

I used a voip service for my UK number, porting my existing UK number over to them. This allows me to make and receive UK phone calls at no cost as well as receive and make texts. I pay around £8-9 for this.

I just install their app.

This means it also frees up my sim slot and my eSIM on my phone.

I use a physical Thai sim out here and my eSIM if I need data in another country.
