got wise but they have done the same to may people locking accounts. Also, while the fees are low they aren't zero and to use daily would be insane.

in my case I left NZ 20years ago, no id no bank no nothing, never looked back. Left aussie 6 years ago and just dumped those accounts as they were associated with govt payments so they would have sucked them dry. Luckily been here long enough prior to dtv to have an account.. but if it gets caught up in this closing rubbish, then I'm proper fkd.

big assumption. I left my home country over 20 years ago. Why the hell would I want my money going there or being taxed there which is no benefit to me at all. The whole point of a DTV is being able to earn money pretty much freelance or remote so it's insane Thailand won't let you open an account.
